Unlike other poker player associations, the specific mission of Poker Voters is to use proven political campaign, messaging and persuasion techniques to mobilize poker players and other voters — resulting in direct political action that will help legalize and regulate online poker.

Because the UIGEA specifically allows individual states to authorize intrastate online poker within their own borders, Poker Voters' initial political effort is directed at passage of Assemblyman Lloyd Levine's AB 2026 — The Gambling Control / California Intrastate Online Poker Act — in California.

Poker Voters has been created to provide information, mobilization and coordination of legislative/ political action programs necessary to make the voices of America's millions of poker players heard in Washington and in state capitals across America.

Poker Voters will coordinate grassroots legislative action to harness the untapped political power represented by millions of American poker players whose rights are being threatened.
